United States. California Registry of Charitable of Trusts.NONPROFIT INTEGRITY ACT OF 2004. 2005. Web. <http://caag.state.ca.us/charities/publications/nonprofit_integrity_act_nov04.pdf>.
This is about the integrity Act of 2004, a copy of the act that was passed. Things such as Audits to organizations that revenue reaches over 2 millions dollars, and contracts and regulations all organizations have to go by. For my project I wanted a strong background on the laws concerning non profits that try to prevent things such as fraud that ruin the name nonprofit. Acts and Laws passed like this one are key to acknowledge in a project like this.
Story, Justin. "Nonprofit director pleads to fraud." Daily News 10 Feb 2009, n. pag. Web. 31 May. 2013. <http://www.bgdailynews.com/news/nonprofit-director-pleads-to-fraud/article_7ca0c7f6-0179-5b1e-923c-dcb67b074921.html?mode=story>.
This is a news article on a woman who committed fraud with the two non-profit organizations that she was director of. She was taking money and forwarding checks with money that was suppose to go the the organizations to her self, doing this to the two organizations she was director for. This is evidence to support my overall aim of this project.

Powell, Michael. "Fraud Found in Jobs Effort; Blow to Bloomberg." New York Times 09 Mar 2012, n. pag. Web. 31 May. 2013. <http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/10/nyregion/city-job-agency-accused-of-filing-false-job-claims.html?ref=nonprofitorganizations&_r=0>.
For this project sources like these were key. I was trying to make a link between globalization and non profit organizations and how they can have a positive and negative effect on it. This would be the negative effect, this news story is about fraud that happened in a non profit. When this happens, people are not using the name non profit organization for the benefit of the cause they say they are for.
